Nuova Simat has for over 30 years been a point of reference in tightening systems and on-site service operations. We specialize in the sale, rental and on-site service for industrial maintenance, providing high-technology equipment and specialized technicians. Over the years we have gained great experience, putting it at the service of important national and international organizations. Eni, Bonatti, Ansaldo Energia, Baker Hughes, Total and Repsol are just a few of the names on a long list of clients who have entrusted us with great responsibilities. We provide all-round support to companies by supplying portable equipment to intervene at various levels. We offer hydraulic torque wrenches, tensioners and other tools for controlled and uncontrolled torque tightening. Industrial heating systems for tightening, shrink-fitting and heat treatments, etc. are also available. We offer standard solutions, such as flange machining and line boring, as well as customized solutions developed by our Research and Development department for any critical on-site application. In over 30 years, we have worked in on-site industrial operations, setting standards for industrial machining and assembly. For this reason, we launched EVO, a brand created by Nuova Simat, which represents the evolution of on-site machining through high-tech, customized solutions, designed and assembled directly by Nuova Simat. We have also implemented an Integrated Management System (IMS) for Quality, Environment, Health and Safety, with the aim of respecting the environment and preventing accidents and occupational diseases. We hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.

As regards its activities within ARTES 4.0, as coordinator of a macro-node the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna combines fundamental cross-cutting expertise. In its role as a “Macro-node” of ARTES 4.0, two main domains are active: engineering, with particular reference to ICT, robotics and Industry 4.0 technologies, and economics and management, with particular reference to Open Innovation and R&D Management, the Economics of Innovation and industrial dynamics. The “Macro-node” carries out guidance activities towards Italian companies, to identify, on the one hand, technological innovation needs, and to provide support for innovation management and technical matching, including through organizing awareness events on key economic and innovation policy topics. It also organizes specific training initiatives, such as second-level master’s programs, doctoral courses and specific professional training courses, which will also make use of demonstrative technology lines. To stimulate innovation projects, the “Macro-node” in particular builds demonstration lines for feasibility analysis of innovative case studies and the carrying out of pilot studies in the field of Industry 4.0 enabling technologies.
