In its role as a “Macro-node” of ARTES 4.0, two main domains are active: engineering, with particular reference to ICT, robotics and Industry 4.0 technologies, and economics and management, with particular reference to Open Innovation and R&D Management, the Economics of Innovation and industrial dynamics. The “Macro-node” carries out guidance activities towards Italian companies, to identify, on the one hand, technological innovation needs, and to provide support for innovation management and technical matching, including through organizing awareness events on key economic and innovation policy topics. It also organizes specific training initiatives, such as second-level master’s programs, doctoral courses and specific professional training courses, which will also make use of demonstrative technology lines. To stimulate innovation projects, the “Macro-node” in particular builds demonstration lines for feasibility analysis of innovative case studies and the carrying out of pilot studies in the field of Industry 4.0 enabling technologies.
